Ribbons can be collected from the clubhouse on the day or picked up at our July training day. There will be a prize table set up for the winners of classes to select their prizes.
Failure to gear check on a competition day will result in elimination.
Helmets - All helmets are required to be tagged with a current visible EA ‘Helmet Tag’ indicating they meet the current approved safety standards. Failure to have helmet appropriately tagged may entail a recorded warning.
Coat - Short coat
Shirts - Riders may ride without jackets if feeling overheated. A long, short sleeved or sleeveless shirt. A stock, tie or ratcatcher must be worn and be securely pinned down.
Stock or Tie
A stock or tie in white, off-white, pale colour, same colour as coat or a shade of the coat colour, coloured trim is permitted
Jodphurs/ Breeches
White or light coloured breeches/ jodhpurs Seat may be dark colour
Boots
Long Boots or Jodhpur Boots Black, brown or same colour as coat with or without gaiters.
Gloves
White, off white preferred or same colour as jacket

Saddle - a fully mounted dressage-type saddle (including all-purpose) of traditional or treeless construction is compulsory and may be used with or without a saddlecloth
Saddlecloth - saddlecloths may be square or shaped. White is preferred but pale colours permitted. Coloured piping is permitted.
Bridles - bridles must be black or brown. Coloured accent or piping is permitted
Bridle Numbers - One on each side of the bridle or saddlecloth is required and must be clearly visible
Nosebands - are compulsory
Horse's mane should be plaited
A coffee van and food van will be available for breakfast and lunch closing by 2pm.
Any horse specifically bred for racing such as stud book thoroughbred or standardbred. The horse can have raced or not raced but no crossbred horses allowed.
OTT poinstscore for prizes
Points will be awarded for each placing and then the highest pointscore across all levels is the winner. In a case of a tie, a count back on the highest amount of points across tests will determine the winner. If an OTT competes in two unofficial tests this will still be counted as two tests for the OTT prizes - due to limited OC places at our competition.
In the event of a fall by horse or rider or other traumatic incident the following applies:
a) it is the decision of the OC’s designated first aid official to assess whether the rider may continue to compete at the event without first getting a medical clearance
b) where a knock to the rider’s head or body that transmits a force to the head is suspected, refer to Annex G -the EA Concussion Policy applies
c) in the case of the horse, a vet or horse welfare officer will assess if the horse can continue to compete in that event
The OC will refer to EA General Regulations Article169.6.3 for the potential penalty in relation to complaints about incorrect behaviour towards event officials or any other party connected with the event.
A rider must ride Hors Concours (HC) in Preparatory classes, if the horse has official grading points.

Neither the Organising Committee of any competition to which these rules apply, or the EA, accepts liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, grounds spectators ot any other person or property whatsoever.
