Members receive a discount on classes of $5 per class. Join via nominate clubs. If you are not an EA member you do need to join our club to enter our events for insurance reasons.
Our refund policy is in line with the Equestrian Australia Rulebook. Scratchings prior to closing date a full refund minus nominates processing fee. Scratching after close date a 50percent refund with medical evidence for horse or rider. Please keep in mind we are a small club so if you scratch at short notice we often can't replace you with another rider and we still have to pay the costs of running the competition/training
day.DDC runs out of the Maitland Polocrosse ground at 111 Anambah Rd Rutherford NSW 2321. Dogs are are allowed on a leash at all times. Please remove your rubbish by taking it home as we have to remove all rubbish. Horse droppings may be spread out over the grass. Very limited yard options are available so plan to tie your horse to the float or bring your portable yards.
DDC has a small hard working committee who will be wearing black tshirts and hats. Most of our committe also ride at the events. Many hours go into the organising of events prior to the day as well as on the day. Currently volunteering is not compulsory but we ask that if you have free time come and offer to help with something and afternoon riders are expected to muck in and help pack up the arenas and ribbons/prizegiving will cease while the arena pack up is done. DDC currently pays for the arena set up and pencillers so this is an added cost considered when pricing entries.
Once the allocated places in a class are at capacity we take three waitlist riders for each class. You enter as normal via nominate and the entry will state you are on the reserve list. If the waitlist is full nominate will say class full. Once your entry is sitting there on the waitlist we can take you off once a scratching is received. If we cannot place you in the class you will receive a refund
DDC pride ourselves in being a relaxed and friendly safe environment where both professionals and amateurs can compete together. At our official competitions formal attire and plaiting is expected. At our Tshirt Days and training days there will be fun theme/dressing up and plaiting up is not required. Gear checks at any competition is compulsory after your test and as per EA failure to do so entails elimination. At our training days the focus is on learning and improving in a non competitive environment, Gear Checks are not compulsory but EA guidelines still apply. Our Stewards are EA accredited and you must follow their instructions whilst in the warmup and competition areas as they are monitoring horse welfare and rider safety at all times. This is for the benefit of all horses/riders/
